Mike Watts, native of Burke County in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western NC. In 1998 he formed Premiere Properties/GMAC Real Estate, a full-service real estate company in Morganton. He holds many real estate industry professional designations including CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), CRB (Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager), e-PRO (Certified Internet Real Estate Professional), and GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute). He was named Burke County REALTOR of the year in 2001 and 2002 and was voted Burke’s Best Real Estate agent in 2003. He was President of the Burke County MLS in 2001 and 2002. In 2007, he became the Managing Partner of Real Living Carolina Property because of the merger of Premiere Properties/GMAC Real Estate, Walton Realty, and Perry Parham Real Estate. The company had multiple offices and about 50 licensed broker affiliates. Mike has been active in the community having served at various points as Chairman of the Burke County Planning and Zoning Board, Chairman of the Burke County Chamber of Commerce, and two term Chairman of the Burke Partnership for Economic Development, Chairman of the Burke Committee of 100, and Mike currently serves on the Burke County Chamber of Commerce Board Of Directors as well as Vice Chairman of the Burke County Travel and Tourism Authority. In 2016, Mike started as a real estate instructor with JY Monk to share his love and passion for the real estate industry. In 2020 he formed BW Education to offer continuing education to North Carolina real estate brokers and coaching. In December 2021, Real Living Carolina Property became Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Blue Ridge REALTORS. Mike and his wife, Anne Marie, live in Burke County. Hiking, boating, and reading are his favorite leisure activities.
