Heather Hansen

Heather Hansen is the CEO of Advocate to Win, where she and her team help their clients master her five core competencies of an advocate. For over 20 years, Heather has been a medical malpractice defense attorney, helping her clients and witnesses take complex medical issues, overcome the curse of knowledge, and explain things to juries in ways that help them win. She has won numerous honors for her trial work, including being inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and consistently being named one of the Top 50 Female Lawyers in Pennsylvania. Heather has a degree in psychology and is a certified mediator through the Pepperdine University School of Law mediation program. She coaches female leaders on how to advocate for themselves and their ideas and works with corporate clients to teach leaders how to advocate effectively. She has presented to audiences in Kuwait, Ireland, Mexico, and across the United States and has taught at Villanova School of Law, Hastings Law, Berkeley Law, Stanford Law, and University of Pennsylvania Law School. She’s contributed to two medical textbooks and multiple peer-reviewed articles on medicine and the law. Heather is the author of The Elegant Warrior-How to Win Life’s Trials Without Losing Yourself which Publishers Weekly calls a “template for achieving personal and career goals” and has appeared on CNN, NBC, CBS News, Fox News Channel, and Fox Business. She is also an anchor at The Law and Crime Network, and a frequent contributor to Good Day Philadelphia. She’s the host of The Elegant Warrior podcast which is consistently ranked in the top 200 of all career podcasts on iTunes. Her latest book is titled, Advocate to Win-10 Tools to Ask for What You Want and Get It.
